With just a few days until the Audi Q8 makes its official debut in China, the German automaker has given us another look at its upcoming SUV. This new sketch of the vehicle’s front accompanies an earlier one that pictured the Q8’s rear.
Highlights of the sketch include a larger and more angular singleframe grille, large inlets at the corners of the bumper, slender LED headlamps, bonnet creases, slim wing mirrors and large wheels. If these look familiar, that is because most of the cues can be seen on the Q8 concept and Q8 sport, both previews for the road-going version.
Spyshots of an undisguised mule from the past suggest the final design will be a little tamer than what is depicted in the sketches. All will be revealed when the Q8 is done starring in a string of Hollywood-esque teasers, and bears all at the Audi China Brand Summit Shenzhen.
The Q8 will ride on the MLB Evo platform which is also used by the Q7, Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne and the new Volkswagen Touareg. In concept form, we’ve been shown two powertrain options for the Q8 – a 476 hp 3.0 litre TFSI V6 with a 48V mild hybrid system in the Q8 sport and the 448 hp plug-in hybrid version in the Q8 concept. An eight-speed automatic transmission and a quattro permanent all-wheel drive system will likely be offered as standard.

Wow looks very nice but after actual production design will look like a normal audi.
