Lexus is one of the brands present at the paultan.org Premium Auto Car Expo (PACE), with distributor Wing Hin Auto Carriage bringing in three vehicles to be shown at the event – including the NX and RX SUVs as well as the stunning LC 500 luxury coupé.
Launched last year, the LC 500 is powered by a 5.0 litre naturally-aspirated V8 making 471 hp and 540 Nm of torque, sent to a 10-speed automatic transmission and enabling the car to go from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. This curvaceous two-door – here painted in deep Rioja Red, rolling on massive 22-inch polished alloy wheels and sporting a carbon fibre roof – is priced at RM1,242,000 on-the-road without insurance.
Moving on to the SUVs, the NX is being shown in facelifted form as the NX 300 Premium. It gets a redesigned look, a revised Remote Touch infotainment system and an uprated suspension. Motivation is via a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine making 235 hp and 350 Nm, and this mid-range variant is priced at RM345,000.
The recently introduced RX 300 Special Edition, on the other hand, comes with a number of Lexus genuine accessories, including an additional front lip, side mouldings, side steps, door visors, a Touch ‘n Go reader and a Digital Video Recorder dashcam. Typically, these items are offered at a RM10,000 premium over the RX 300 Luxury variant at RM434,000, but at PACE, they are provided free of charge.
On top of that, the Lexus NX 300 Urban, Premium and F Sport, RX 300 Premium, Luxury, F Sport and Special Edition and RX 350 Luxury and F Sport get a five-year free service package on top of the five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. The paultan.org PACE 2018 event continues tomorrow at the Setia City Convention Centre.
