Toyota Raize gets TRD kit – skirts, bumper extensions

Toyota has followed up the launch of the Raize with accessory parts from the TRD range. Here, the bodykit items are it the TRD colours of black and red; these include a front bumper extension, side skirts, rear bumper extension, front grille garnish, side decals and a tailgate decal.

The front bumper extension adds 38 mm in length and reduces ground clearance by approximately 56 mm, while the rear bumper extension adds 5 mm in length and ground clearance and the rear end is reduced by approximately 89 mm, according to Toyota. Meanwhile, side skirts for the Raize extend downwards by 61 mm compared to standard. These, along with the black front bumper garnish are made of PPE resin.

Side decals for the Raize are applied near the lower edges of the doors, while another is also applied for the lower edge of the tailgate; both are made of polyvinyl chloride resin, while carbon-fibre look door handle protectors are available too. The interior of the Raize also gets accessories, with a TRD-branded push start button, luggage mat and even a sun shade available.

TRD has also showcased the accessories as applied to a variety of exterior colours on the Raize; Shining White Pearl, Bright Silver Metallic, Black Mica Metallic, Natural Beige Mica Metallic, Mustard Yellow Mica Metallic, Fire Quartz Red Metallic Turqoise Blue Mica Metallic and Laser Blue Crystal Shine.

A contrasting black roof paint finish can also be applied to the Shining White Pearl, Bright Silver Metallic and Turquoise Blue Mica Metallic colours.

As standard, the Toyota Raize is powered by a 1.0 litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing 98 PS at at 6,000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque from 2,400 to 4,000 rpm, paired to a D-CVT gearbox. The Raize is built on the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA), featuring monocoque construction with a MacPherson strut front and torsion beam rear suspension setup.
