The just-introduced Toyota Raize is certainly getting a lot of attention, with dress-up bits already being announced for it, and not only via the TRD route – Toyota Modellista have also launched customisation parts for the SUV, introducing two aero kit sets for it.
The first is called the Advance Blast Style, which the company says gives the vehicle a unique, dynamic face and stylish illumination. Key components include a front spoiler with integrated LED lights, side skirts and a rear skirt.
The other aerokit set is called Elegant Ice Style, which adds on the style in different fashion. Again, the package consists of a front spoiler, side skirts and the adding on of rear spats, but the projection at both ends aren’t as bold as that presented by the Advance Blast, which should appeal to customers wanting a more subtle look.
The two sets can be complemented by further items, and these come in the form of what is called a Cool Shine Kit. Elements in the pack consist of a rather prominent rear spoiler, muffler tips, an aero plate for the sides of the tailgate as well as a chrome-plated front grille cover and side door/tailgate garnish strips.
Completing the exterior Modellista makeover are two wheel choices, the first an 18-inch two-tone, five-spoke unit called the X-Claw II, packaged with Falken Ziex ZR914F rubbers, which in the presentation is paired with the Advance Blast kit. The other is an all-new 16-inch unit with a jagged spoke design, as seen on the Elegant Ice Style.
The company has also introduced some interior items for the Raize. The styling elements consist of an interior trim panel set, which is available in grey or brown woodgrain finishes. There’s also a metallic-look panel set, complete with blue backlit LED illumination.
Additionally, the interior lighting can be switched to LED-based units, courtesy of room lamp and footwell lighting sets. Finally, those into wood trim will no doubt find plenty of visual appeal in the woodgrain deck panel available for the luggage area.
The Toyota Raize is a rebadged Daihatsu Rocky with a few aesthetic changes. The compact SUV, which sits on a Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA) platform, began selling in Japan three days ago. It’s powered by a 1.0 litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing 98 PS at at 6,000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque from 2,400 to 4,000 rpm, paired with a D-CVT gearbox.
