Jaguar no longer sells any new vehicles in its native United Kingdom market, reported Autocar, and new vehicle sales by Jaguar in the UK market will only resume when the brand’s next-generation models debut in 2026.
The halt in new vehicle sales in the United Kingdom for Jaguar comes after production of the XE, XF and F-Type at Castle Bromwich has stopped, as well as of the E-Pace and I-Pace in Austria by Magna Steyr. Availability for these models, along with the F-Pace for the UK, will be from remaining stock, though the F-Pace, I-Pace and E-Pace SUVs are still in production for other markets, according to the report.
This comes ahead of Jaguar’s brand reinvention set for later this year, which will bring a series of new, fully electric models. This is expected to begin with a four-seater GT in the category of the Porsche Taycan, and this will be followed by a luxury SUV, and then a luxury sedan. All three upcoming EV models will be built upon a new, bespoke platform named the JEA, reported Autocar.
“From November 2024, new Jaguar sales will come to an end ahead of our new brand reveal later this year and product launch in 2026. We have now ceased allocation of our current generation of Jaguar vehicles. We do have a selection of models available to acquire on an Approved Pre-Owned basis through our UK retail network,” said a statement from Jaguar sighted by the publication.
The brand announced its plan to become fully electric by 2025 as part of its Reimagine brand strategy, which saw the cancellation of development for its large sedan at the time. A large, pure-EV sedan that was to emerge under the Range Rover brand was also cancelled.
