Toll collection for the Section 2 stretch of the West Coast Expressway (WCE), which connects the Shah Alam Expressway (SAE/KESAS) interchange to the South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) interchange and Banting interchange, has commenced as of 12.01am on Friday (June 13, 2025).
Previously, the 7.2-km stretch was toll-free since its official opening on January 22 this year. Toll collection is entirely electronic, with road users paying using either Touch ‘n Go cards, SmartTAG or RFID technology.
“The toll rates and payment methods for Section 2 of the WCE are fully integrated with the SKVE through the Tanjung Dua Belas interchange. The toll rates imposed take into account the entire journey of the users, including the portions on the SKVE,” the highway operator said, as reported by Bernama. The toll charges range from RM1.32 to RM13.85 and will vary based on vehicle class and travel distance.
The WCE, once completed, will span 233 km from Banting, Selangor, to Taiping (Changkat Jering), Perak. It will feature 13 sections, with seven being for the Selangor alignment, while the remaining four are for the Perak alignment.
