KL’s Monorail faced some issues this morning but it has been resolved and operations went back to normal at 10.58 am, Rapid KL announced.
Earlier today, the Monorail’s schedule faced delays due to a train that had ‘component issues’ at the Bukit Bintang station, causing it to move slowly. Following that, trains from KL Sentral had to turn back at Hang Tuah, trains from Hang Tuah turned back at Bukit Nanas, and trains from Bukit Nanas turned back at Titiwangsa – all on Platform 1.
Rapid KL’s technical team then went to the location and managed to pinpoint the issue and rectify it, before ensuring that the train was safe to restart operations.
The Monorail is now running normally, but the technical team will continue to monitor the situation and extra staff – deployed in the morning when the problem struck – will continue to be on standby at affected stations to assist passengers, Rapid KL says.
