BMW has released a range of BMW Performance products for the facelifted E70 BMW X5. Just as a recap, BMW Performance is a label for accessories that BMW sells to spice up its cars, in efforts to take some of that (mostly aesthetic) aftermarket mod spending away from other tuners. BMW Performance bodykits look different from the M-Sport bodykits and are often more aggressive-looking. In Malaysia if you see an E90 it could carry one of three sets of bumpers – standard, M-Sport and BMW Performance.
Anyway back to the BMW Performance parts for the X5. There’s now a BMW Performance Aero Kit for the X5, which BMW claims was developed in BMW’s wind tunnel in Munich.
It can be fitted to the 2011 X5 LCI, except for the X5 M and X5 models equipped with a trailer hitch. It includes redesigned front and rear bumpers as well as side skirts and an optional black kidney grille.
On the interior there’s a BMW Performance Aluminium Pedal Kit which is made of aluminum with rubber inserts. And there’s a direct replacement for the steering wheel which has a thick flat-bottom rim covered in hand-stitched Alcantara.
This steering wheel can be fitted to any facelift X5 except for the X5 M and Land Departure Warning equipped regular X5s.

Very handsome looking car. Masculine !
agree… masculine and uber cool… now if only i have the dough…
I cannot understand why people rich enough will still buy this instead of the much more beautiful X6. Don’t you think X5 is alang-alang?
How do you feel about the MALE owners of X3 and X1?
because x6 is 4 seater…the x5 can be a 7 seater if u opt for 7 seats…plus the LCI x5 comes with 8 speed auto in malaysia….
X5 for practicality, X6 for show off.
Why come out with all sorts of performance packages when this car breaksdown all the time?
Improving quality and reliability is more important than all these performance packages,
Ask any X5 owner and they will tell you nightmare stories. They spend half their lives in workshop sorting out problems.
Your views are so shallow and subjective…Please buy one if you can afford, then sell it off and you will be qualify to make such statements
John, you seem the one so shallow, how you know he does not own one in the first place?
Anyway, one does not need to own one to have an indepth knowledge of a given product. For example, a mechanic may have immense knowledge of different types of cars and yet he may not even own a car. See how shallow you are?
if he owns one, he would be saying ‘I spent half my life in the workshops’ instead of ‘they’ and he’s not a mechanic who fixes x5 all the time all his life so he should not make such unreasonable statements to say x5 owners spend HALF their lives in the workshop
I am X5 owner and I know you are bullshitting.
I agree with you…those ppl who criticize are merely sour grapes…cannot afford but want to make such comments bout cars they don’t own…
Weird, cars with big nose look handsome unlike human..
