Honda will be showcasing a number of what it has tagged ‘electromotive concept models’ at the Tokyo Motor Show, which begins on Nov 30, and one of them is the AC-X, or the Advanced Cruiser-X, to give it its full designation. The company says that the next-generation plug-in hybrid vehicle is equipped to offer a comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable drive, be it in urban surroundings or over long-haul runs.
Word has it that the futuristic sedan is powered by a 1.6 litre petrol engine offering 127 hp and a 120 kW electric motor combination, and numbers include an operating range just a shade under a thousand clicks, in this case 997 km, and a stupendous 0.90 litres per 100 km consumption.
The AC-X features a choice of drive modes, an “engine drive mode” for more aggressive driving or an “automatic drive mode” for those relaxed moments. Not much explained about the funky interior, but that steering looks just plane awesome. Sorry, couldn’t resist that.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Stick steering…???? How to steer this car? Stick steering is more suitable for 3 dimension driving like plane or submarine… but car is 2 dimension…. hmmmm….. I wonder?
it’s the concept la dey…. which part of the word ‘concept’ you don’t understand?
Arcade Game Driving Stimulator :-)
Better still, have optional Playstation gamepad socket so that ppl can plug in the controller and use it to drive the car…
Honda, we want this kind of design! not the ugly crv and dull civic…
Shape wise, Honda should realise the design elements NOW for the current line up…
it is stated that the car can do 0.9 litre/100km. And the range is like, 997km.
does this mean you only need to fill-up 0.9 x (997/100) = 8.973 litre = RM17.05 (at RM1.9 per litre) to travel from Perlis to JB? Woww!! I want one!!
dude, you’ll get that range if your battery is fully charged, and you drive at certain speed. if you’re speeding, expect a shorter distance.
sure got condition..if you want figure like this, please drive 60kmj in straight road, no wind condition and only 1 passenger..if u drive like hell, full load , sure cannot get 0.9L /100km
Honda bring the concept to reality. Not in the distant future but now. Four doors please and I will start saving now..Yes I want
wont those lights consume more electricity…?
Finally a not so wierd looking hybrid….honda please don’t ruin this design
The meter on the dash board of the 2nd picture looks ghostly. Long hair, eyes, etc. Is it me? or you all also have the same feeling?
watch out EXora REEV!
