Mercedes-Benz has been on a mission to appeal to younger buyers, and recent products such as the A-Class and CLA make that intent very obvious. Actually, it all started with the current W204 C-Class, which ditched baby S-Class looks for a sharp and still handsome suit. The journey continues with an all-new W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class set a for a Geneva debut next year.
Our latest set of spyshots show a car that’s not a big departure from the current formula, maintaining that familiar shape, although the W205 will have a new face that’s in line with Merc’s newest products.
Compared to the smaller CLA, the roofline, while curved, doesn’t taper down at the back so much, and the boot is longer, as it should be for a 3-Series rival. Speaking of the boot, the curved lid has been made much more obvious, negating the need for a spoiler.
The thick, black side cladding of this mule prevents us from having a look at the car’s feature line. Recent Mercs have featured funky surfacing on the sides with two prominent lines taking aim at the rear wheels – will the new C follow suit?
The new C-Class will be underpinned by Merc’s new modular rear-wheel drive architecture (MRA) platform, and with the arrival of the CLA, it will have room to move up in size from today’s car, with a longer wheelbase apparent in these shots.
Reports state that the all-turbo engine list will range from a base 2.0 litre to a 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 for the AMG. Right-hand drive cars will get 4WD for the first time. There’s bound to be a raft of new tech like adaptive damping and in-car Internet as well.

Back to the C class 2010 but a facelift version? too fast facelift to catch up the new Mercedes family face! Mercedes design can’t stay longer so pls, lower the price.

Past few gens of Class cannot compare the youthfullness look of the 3 series or A4. Maybe this may appeal the younger ones.
Mercedes lately churning out good design on A-class, CLA and GLA concept.
