At the Tokyo Motor Show, the Lexus showcase is centered around two vehicles, the RC Coupe and the LF-NX Turbo concept. We saw the first live photos of the RC Coupe on Mon night, when both debutants were previewed at a Lexus Welcome Event. Now, we’ll get to the next chapter of the LF-NX study.
The TMS version of the crossover follows on the hybrid variant of the LF-NX that debuted in Frankfurt, and adds a front under-spoiler and a new design 20-inch wheel to offer some differentiation from the latter. Oh, it also wears lower profile 255/45 rubbers than the hybrid, which rides on 255/50 units.
Under the hood is a 2.0 litre turbocharged mill – the company didn’t reveal output figures for the forced-induction unit prior to the show, and it didn’t do so today either.
It did put the unit on show, so aside from looking at it, all that can be gleaned in technical terms is the fact that the new lump will feature fan spray D-4S fuel injection, a cylinder head integrated exhaust manifold and a twin scroll turbocharger, complete with an active wastegate valve. The engine will get its market introduction in the production NX when that arrives, likely to be known as the NX 200t.

WoW! finally the UGLIEST suv for 2013
I’ll applaud them for going into production with that rear end. Finally Japs have balls?
What a big difference between KLIMS and Tokyo Auto Show. The former displaying units currently on the road, doing launches of existing models while the latter offering yet to be seen concepts and models, without any interruption of electricity supply (im looking at u KLIMS)….
The engine is quite compact though. Nice one, Lexus!
Is 200t f sport FTW
like many invention sometimes ideas come unintentionally, this may be from test track accident..
I’m assuming that Lexus wanted to ensure that nobody copies them? They will succeed ;)
