Mazda BT-50 facelift leaked on Thai social media

This sole image of what appears to be a Mazda BT-50 facelift has appeared on Thai forums and Facebook groups. Based on the photo, the BT-50 facelift receives what appears to be a smaller grille with the Mazda badge now sitting on the bar that runs across the grille. There’s also a new headlamp internal design.

The BT-50 facelift is due now since its platform-mate the Ranger has already had its facelift revealed. We’re expecting it to go on sale next year. Since there were no engine bay changes for the Ranger (other than a new EGR system for the 3.2), we don’t expect any for the BT-50 either.

Similarities are created to give an identity to the brand and current line up. Same goes for parts sharing to have the same identity and also to lower production cost.

Since u pui for same design then you might as well pui for most car brands out there that does this. Lexus, bmw, merc, audi, Honda, toyota, nissan etc.

Have you seen the new Vios, Altis and Camry? Just small changes between each other.

Honda has yet to fully update all their cars but have you seen the new Jazz, City and HR-V? They’re an example of things to come.

Obviously the previous design looks cacat coz Mazda was forced to slap on it’s design language to what’s essentially a Ranger’s body…

Most likely the next gen, if any will looks better with their in house design… :D
