First spotted in Thailand, CarAdvice has received leaked patent images of the 2016 Mazda BT-50 facelift. It’s no question that the pick-up you see here is the final version of the truck that’s going to be sold soon.
These images show both the dual-cab and single-cab versions of the updated BT-50. As you can see, the changes have been kept to a minimum.
On the front-end, aside from a new split grille with more chrome and the deletion of those awkward-looking orange reflectors within the headlights, not much else has changed. The sidesteps and wheels, however, have been updated to give it more of a “lifestyle truck” look, while the rear has largely been retained. No interior images have surfaced yet, but you can expect the new BT-50 to come with Mazda’s latest MZD Connect infotainment system this time around.
So guys, do you think this new truck can go head-to-head against the latest Toyota Hilux, the facelifted Ford Ranger, the recently launched Mitsubishi Triton and the Nissan Navara NP300?

I think this is the ugliest in the class….and its no wonder I don’t see many..or any on the road today.
Ugly or not , these pick up trucks are workhorses. They belong to the jungles, hills and treacherous roads.
Imagine, Mazda BT-50 with MZD Infotainment system. :)
The breakthrough in technology and design will come with the Skyactive model. But this will take time. Mazda will first introducing the new CX-9 and CX-7.
Mazda is a small company. It took 10 years for Toyota until they introduced a new Hilux and soon the new Fortuner.
unique design I would say. This will be my second choice behind D-Max. I find it quite a head turner and the special edition in Thailand is cun! But I cant see any difference between the facelift and the current one.
No matter how it looks sure it will go hard
