Prior Design wide-body kit for the Porsche Macan

Porsches have never been shy, retiring creatures on the road but if you feel your standard Macan is a little too staid, German after-market tuning specialist Prior Design has a wide-body kit on offer that will definitely stand out anywhere.

Named the PD600M widebody aerodynamic kit by Prior, the aggressive fibre-glass bodykit widens the Macan‘s wheel-arch flares by a fair amount, giving Porsche’s crossover a menacing stance. This, of course, calls for Vossen 20-inch wheels that can be had by the customer in a variety of colours.

The bodykit gives the Macan a completely different look at the front with the bumper and splitter, and continues on to the rooftop spoiler, decklid spoiler, rear diffuser and a revised rear bumper. While not being quite over-the-top as some bodykits, the Prior Design PD600M Macan bodykit is certainly not for timid drivers.

In Malaysia, the Macan is available in four variants. The entry-level Macan starts from RM435,000 in its base configuration, and features a Volkswagen-derived 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. The next step up is the Macan S with a 3.0 litre twin-turbo V6 petrol with pricing starting from RM590,000.

The Macan S Diesel, which is slightly cheaper than its petrol-engined siblings at RM560,000, carries a 3.0 litre turbodiesel V6 engine.The range topper is the Macan Turbo, which starts from RM820,000. Its 3.6 litre twin-turbo V6 engine pushes out 400 PS at 6,000 rpm and 550 Nm from 1,350 to 4,500 rpm.

Pricing for the PD600M bodykit is on application, and Prior Design also provides interior, exhaust and suspension modifications in consultation with the customer.
