Renault Clio Edition One revealed – limited series

Renault Clio Editon One

Mercedes-Benz has had some success with Edition 1 versions of its recent road cars, so much so that Renault has decided to do the same with its popular B-segment model. This is the Clio Edition One, which will be available for a limited time on both the hatchback and estate models.

The Edition One gets all the trim and equipment found on the Intens variant, along with several extras, starting with the exclusive paintjob you see here known as Pearlescent White. If you prefer a colour that doesn’t remind you of the Laguna Monaco GP edition, there are other options – Titanium Grey, Glacier White, Platine Grey and Etoile Black to choose from as well.

Aside from the fancy paint, the Clio also gets roof decals, black side mirror housings, full-LED Pure Vision headlamps and 17-inch Optemic black diamond-cut alloy wheels. Meanwhile on the inside, the interior trim matches that of the exterior, with leather upholstery for the seats and steering wheel.

Other standard features on the Clio Edition One include dark-tinted rear windows, a front central armrest, aluminium pedals, unique door sills and floor mats, along with a Bose sound system. The latter sees the fitment of six loudspeakers and a subwoofer for a better aural experience. Options include the R-Link infotainment system, parking sensors and camera, plus a fixed sunroof (doing away with the roof decals).

Priced from 19,650 euros (RM88,366) in France, the Edition One is offered with the following engines – TCe 90, TCe 120, dCi 90 and dCi 110 – with six-speed manual and dual-clutch EDC gearboxes available. Estate models will cost 600 euros (RM2,698) more than its hatchback equivalent.
