As speculated from the teaser released by BMW Malaysia last month, the BMW Concept 8 Series will be showcased in Malaysia at an event set to happen from February 22. So, Malaysia won’t be hosting the world debut of the production BMW 8 Series after all!
The sleek concept car’s appearance has been confirmed by a Facebook posting from BMW Malaysia, which is looking for registrations of interest. To attend the event, of course.
The BMW Luxury Excellence Pavilion will be at KLCC from February 22 to March 7. It will be a one of a kind fascination programme to focus on desirability, exclusive experiences and progressive luxury, the company says.
“BMW Malaysia will be sharing its vision of luxury with the city of Kuala Lumpur. The experience will bring an emotionality defined by inspirational aesthetics as well as the joy of driving with the experience of freedom and self-determined individuality,” it added.
The Concept 8 Series surfaced in May 2017. It previews a production BMW 8 Series that is set to debut soon. Munich released an official video of the big two-door testing last month, and the clip shows the RWD coupe sliding around and sounding fantastic. There will be an M8 road car and an M8 GTE race car as well.
Spyshots of the alleged finalised design have been floating around, but they show a rear end that’s not as easy on the eye as the concept’s butt. It won’t be long before the real thing surfaces and we can’t wait.
