The Volkswagen Arteon will be offered with an R-Line styling package in the United States, which introduces exterior and interior design enhancements. The four-door fastback is set to go on sale in the U.S. in the fall of 2018 and the R-Line package will be available at launch.
The styling package consists of a sportier front bumper with gloss black air intakes, R-Line badging, R-Line air inlets and cover panels, as well as a gloss black rear spoiler. Customers will also get to choose from 19- or 20-inch aluminium-alloy wheels.
On the inside, the R-Line logo presents itself on the start screen of the Volkswagen Modular Infotainment Platform (MIB II) system. There’s also contrast stitching on the steering wheel and gear knob, paddle shifters, metallic trim pieces, black headliner, stainless-steel sport pedal covers, and stainless-steel door sills with the R-Line logo.
The R-Line package is available for every Arteon trim level sold in the U.S., from the SE to the SEL Premium. All models are powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged TSI engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission, with 4Motion all-wheel-drive system available as an option. The Arteon R-Line package will be introduced at the upcoming 2018 New York International Auto Show.
