Mazda MX-5 RF Sport Black – a 300-unit UK special

Mazda MX-5 RF Sport Black – a 300-unit UK special

Mazda is introducing the Mazda MX-5 RF Sport Black in the UK, a 300-unit limited edition. To go on sale from May 28, it’s easy to spot the Sport Black thanks to its Eternal Blue Mica paint with contrasting black rear spoiler and door mirrors.

Elsewhere, there are gunmetal alloy wheels, unique floor mats, scuff plates and badging. Based on the top 2.0 litre 160 PS SE-L Nav variant, the Sport Black comes with leather seats, auto headlights/wipers and rear parking sensors, in addition to the standard limited slip differential.

The MX-5 RF’s retractable hardtop consists of front, middle and rear roof sections, and a rear screen. When the top is lowered the front and middle portions are stowed together, while the rear glass sits behind the seats, leaving the rear roof section in place to create a unique open-top look and cabin feeling.

The RF Sport Black follows the MX-5 Z-Sport limited edition convertible, which adds on a deep cherry red soft top, 17-inch black BBS wheels, and free-of-charge Machine Grey Metallic paint. Based on previous trends, expect many more special editions of the ND MX-5, which is one of the best driver’s cars on sale today.

The MX-5 RF was launched in Malaysia a year ago, joining the regular Miata convertible that has been around since 2015.

actually quite the contrary… the units bermaz brought in less than double figure…and waiting list is pretty long (due to global order queue)… and weirdly this car is rarer than a ferrari here

Same goes to Toyota 86 @ 1/4 million each. Those on our roads are mostly recon @ 1/2 the price.
