Sime Darby Auto Connexion’s (SDAC) first experiential Ford Pop-Up store for the Ford Ranger has welcomed over 3,000 visitors so far since its tour began last month. The Pop-Up store kicked off its nationwide programme in the Klang Valley on July 20 and has since made its way to Penang and Kota Bharu.
Customers who visited the Pop-Up store were offered the unique opportunity to be immersed in a virtual reality (VR) experience involving the Ford Ranger, allowing them to discover more about the two advanced driver-assist technologies that the truck is equipped with, namely Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning/Assist.
Various fun-filled activities were also offered to participants, and visitors also had the chance to walk away with exclusive Ford merchandise. The Pop-Up store is still on tour and is scheduled to make its fourth stop at Setia City Convention Centre, Setia Alam this August 10-12. The public showcase is open from 10 am to 10 pm daily.
The store will then move on to Johor Bahru, where it will be at Sutera Mall from August 23-25 before heading on to the final leg of the programme at Aman Sentral in Alor Setar, Kedah, on Spetember 6-8.
Customers at the Ford Pop-Up store will also be able to take advantage of the current Seize the Deal campaign which offers additional rebates of up to 10% on top of the six percent GST savings on the Ford Ranger, for total savings of RM19,830.
Other models involved in the promotional campaign – which runs until August 31 – are the Fiesta 1.5L, with rebates of up to 17% for it, and Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost and 5.0L GT models, for which savings of up to RM113,000 can be had.

Cant wait for the Ford Raptor. All pickup trucks under AFTA, zero percent tariff rates throughout ASEAN.
A Ford pop-up store is a good idea to generate interest in the Ford Ranger with its virtual reality (VR) experience involving the Ford Ranger.
This is taking – “Thinking Out of the Box” to a new level instead of waiting for Durian to Runtuh/customers to walk in.
Good job Ford. At least they(Ford) are trying to regain their lost market share with an effort.
