We now bring you a full gallery of the W213 Mercedes-Benz E 200 SportStyle Avantgarde, which was first launched back in March this year as part of the updated E-Class range in Malaysia. This is the entry-level variant in the line-up, and it retails at RM329,888 on-the-road without insurance.
Motivation comes from a M264 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 194 hp (197 PS) at 5,500 rpm and 320 Nm of torque from 1,650-4,000 rpm. The mill actually replaces the previous M274 unit, which makes less power at 181 hp (184 PS) and 300 Nm. Drive is sent to the rear wheels via a nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission.
For equipment, the E 200 features the Avantgarde package, and the exterior is further enhanced with the standard SportStyle package. Highlights here include a chrome louvre below the front bumper and high-gloss black chrome trim in the rear bumper.
Other exterior items that come as standard on the variant include 18-inch five-spoke light-alloy wheels, LED High Performance headlamps with Adaptive Highbeam Assist and a reverse camera.
Moving inside, there’s Artico leather upholstery, light carbon-grain aluminium trim and black open pored ash wood for the centre console. You’ll also get a Thermatic climate control system, widescreen cockpit (two 12.3-inch displays), powered front seats with memory function, wireless smartphone charger and ambient lighting.
For infotainment, there’s an Audio 20 unit with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which can be controlled via the touchpad on the centre console, or the Touch Control interface on the Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel. For safety and driver assistance, there’s Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist and Active Parking Assist.

Better get the BMW 530e. Same price as this Merc in Malaysia. But in overseas, the BMW 530e is nearly double the price of the E200.
So when you buy the BMW 530e in Malaysia, you are actually getting good value. By right, the 530e should be like RM450k if not for the tax incentives.
Those rims damn ugly
