BMW M Performance parts – for X5/X5 M, X6/X6 M, X7

Like the look of the recently-launched F95 BMW X5 M and F96 X6 M, but thought they could do with a bit more embellishment? BMW themselves have just the thing – M Performance parts for your Sports Activity Vehicle or Sports Activity Coupe, comprised of components for the vehicles’ exterior and interior. The regular G05 X5, G06 X6 and G07 X7 can be outfitted with items from the range, too.

Starting off with the exterior, the X5 M, X6 M and X6 can be kitted with M Performance carbon-fibre parts which are for the grille, side sill inserts and available at a later date, carbon-fibre rear diffuser as well. These are hand-made and sealed with a clear finish, then polished to a high gloss, says BMW. On the X5 M, rear fins and a roof edge spoiler are also available, finished in high-gloss black.

The X6 is also available with M Performance black wrapping, which is comprised of matte black and grey strips with M Performance script placed along the side of the vehicle. This is mated with high-gloss black wrapping for the front of the X6, while the X7 can be had with high-gloss black badging as well as carbon-fibre mirror caps.

Rolling stock and brake upgrades are also available from the M Performance catalogue, with wheels measuring up to 22 inches. Here, the X6 can be fitted with 22-inch M Performance light alloy star-spoke Styling 749 M in either burnished Jet Black or matte black finishes, which BMW says weighs approximately 1 kg less than an equivalent cast wheel, improving steering and overall dynamics.

The X7 can be specified with the 22-inch M Performance forged wheel in Y-spoke Styling 785 M guise, available in matte and burnished Jet Black finishes. For the top X5 M and X6 M and the respective Competition models, there are the double-spoke Styling 809 M in a matte Jet Black finish for mixed-size tyres – 295/35 ZR21 107Y XL and 315/30 ZR22 107Y XL front and rear, respectively.

Available M Performance interior options for the X5 and X6 include the M Performance steering wheel which features high-grip Alcantara with large thumbrests and special underlining, finished with a red centre marking strip and silver-grey hand-sewn cross stitching. The M Performance steering wheel can also be specified with carbon-fibre trim, and can be paired with M Performance shift paddles in carbon fabric in place of the chrome surface finish on standard items.

Further along the interior kit list, there are also floor mats with M Performance script with a pennant in M colours as well as a leather-look surround and decorative seams in contrasting colours. Stainless steel pedal rests including a stainless steel footrest can be specified on the regular X5 and X6, items which are standard-fit in the X5 M and X6 M.

There’s more. The LED door projectors can be fitted with the M Performance slide set which projects the BMW M logo or other M Performance motifs, while the vehicle key can be paired with the M Performance key holder made of Alcantara and a carbon-fibre insert.
