Here are spyshots of yet another variants of the upcoming BMW M3 powered by a 420hp 4.0 litre V8 engine. This is the convertible variant, so this makes 3 variants of the M3 that we’ve seen so far – sedan, coupe, and convertible. Only the Touring version is nowhere to be seen – perhaps it will not exist?

I don't get it, or perhaps BMW don't get it. The whole point of convertible, (I'll start sticking convertible to hard top, and soft top for cabriolet, as hard tops convert them into something else) is to not let anyone notice it's actually a hard top.
So why do they bother to have a coupe, and a convertible? Perhaps to let buyers have a choice of showing off, so that suggests Munich design something to allow people to show off, and it's their M, which is highly regarded as a very respected track biased road car.
And now this track bias road car had a convertible that weighs a few hundred kilos heavier, and a boot filled with mechanical arms.
I'd rather BMW had a 340Ci which is a convertible and Sedan, and leave M3 with Coupe ONLY.
Two door cars had a much higher torsional rigidity than any other form (provided it's no door or 1 door)
The back looks like Audi and the pipe not nice enough to fit at the rear end…
Maybe side way? like dodge?
This is really nice. I just like it.
OH MY GOD SIMPLY GORGEOUS. thank god the rear lights design are not similar to the ones on the ordinary 3 series.

why in the world they wanna put those tape on it? well we can see all of the car! nice side profile but the pipes are too common in design…
wey,
isnt it too much? i mean, the M division creation of the 3 series should be limited to a coupe. only coupes.
we heard last time, they are testing M3 sedan. and now? an M3 convertible?
come on maann…u cant dress siti nurhaliza or marion or all the chicks like gwen stefani..
bmw does that cos they wanna have multi-optional for their cars…..
nice rear but exhaust like very close together la…
Very nice rear, but exhausts too close, would look better if it's spaced out more.
I think the rear bumper is unfinished business. M cars normally have the rear bumpers sculptured to accommodate the quad-pipes.
