BMW is readying a four door version of the 4-Series called the BMW 4-Series GranCoupe to go head to head against the Audi A5 Sportback, and our Europe-based spy photographer CarPix has spotted it in Sweden undergoing winter testing.
Things have definitely gotten alot more complicated for buyers in the premium segment in terms of choice. Before this, if you were looking for a compact premium BMW you could either have the 3-Series as a sedan, touring, coupe or a convertible. Now, the 3-Series range has been split into the 3-Series and 4-Series, with the 3-Series getting sedan, wagon and Gran Turismo versions, while the 4-Series is set to get the ‘funkier’ body styles such as the coupe, cabriolet and GranCoupe four-door variants. That’s a total of six body styles to choose from!
