Proton Edar and Pos Malaysia will be working more closely with the appointment of Proton Edar as a PosLaju authorised agent. The two DRB-Hicom member companies officially launched the collaboration yesterday.
Through the collaboration, PosLaju services will be offered at selected PE outlets, with selected services such as Next Day Delivery for documents and parcels, PosLaju International – Express Mail Services (EMS) available at these outlets.
Four Proton Edar outlets in the Klang Valley kick things off. Nine more outlets in Peninsular Malaysia by July 5 and two outlets in East Malaysia by the end of July are set to follow.
Proton Edar says that its extensive nationwide network – with its strategically located and easily accessible showrooms – will enable it to provide additional services to its customers. To date, more than 100 PosLaju authorised agents have been appointed, and now PE has joined that growing fold.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Bila bahaya kena rompak boleh pergi 7-11.
Sekarang nak kirim barang surat boleh pergi proton edar outlet.
HOI ORG BODOH !!!!
Kasi improve dulu service level Proton Edar lah……
Lagi mau tambah produk tapi service macam cilaka……
I dont know which is worse???
Pos Laju team up with Proton Edar or Proton Edar team up with Pos Laju……
Dua2 sakai punya service!!!!!
your words reflects yourself..
So stupid our corporate figures. Since Bernas is part of the group, why dont you sell beras in Proton Edar outlets also?
This is the mentality of our corporate culture. The result of brain drain in Malaysia Instead of improving their services, they are selling other things. Typical mentiality of Utim and Mara graduates who have shot up the corporate ladder to become Management.
Syarikat Abuya dan adik iparnya: nothing to do with uitm here, what if i told you there are stupid people in UTAR and LIM KOK WING?..get out from cyber cafe mate and get some education, don’t be fool like your father did’nt know how to were condom properly..=)
r888, You got nothing to comment here izzit?
They thinking ( – – dapat +) ma…
Negative negative get positive.
kesian la itu org nama hameed. u used the name n gave rude comment.
Abg Long, I gave rude comment bcoz I received rude service by Proton, again and again….after complaining……
So shud i manja them…..again and again????
This is the problem when one guy (you know who) is given too much on his plate. Dia tak tahu macam mana nak makan.
When everyone read these article, everybody is already set their mind to think negatively, look at the bright side, let say if you urgently want to post something and pos office is currently crowded with people paying bills etc, you can go to Proton Edar centre. It is a initiative to diverge the crowd from Post Office.
So now they use PosLaju to deliver their new cars?
What is the business strategy for this joint forces ? it just doesn’t calibrate ! it only shows that we are under same boss !
to cut operation cost, while delivering letter/ parcel…postmen can also sell car lor and earn extra side income..
Haha, door-to-door car dealer.
Talking about synergy, maybe bila kutip sampah, boleh deliver surat sekali.
Not a bad idea, bro! Tukar nama “Pos Alam Flora”. Haha.
Reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions lagi pulak tu.
maybe kilang roti boleh mula pasang kereta
I agree with Clement
Don’t see the synergy there between these 2 companies
These 2 customer channels don’t seem to overlap at all to warrant such a venture
cut operation cost as before they use fedex, dhl. plus, the money paid is flowing within drb.
Diorang dah memang lama pakai Poslaju. Takkanlah diorang hantar dokumen banyak sangat sampai kene ade kaunter Poslaju sendiri. Macam tu nanti UMW ade kaunter Fedex kot?
how do you know they are using Poslaju before? is it me or you in the organization?
if let’s say UMW has Fedex counter, I believe none of you will brag about it.
I can confirm that they are using Pos Malaysia for their services. I’ve dealt with Proton Edar reps for their used cars, the documents were always sent using Poslaju.
However, I doubt UMW will need FedEx help to bring in new customers, there are always blind fans out there to buy their overpriced cars.
Kan lebih berbaloi kalo mereka menawarkan khidmat jual/servis tayar dari bende mengarut macam ni?
Macam lak bengkel/SA diorang memerlukan khidmat Poslaju tetap.
Its not like when I think I want to kirim something, Proton Edar is the place to go!
Proton cars cannot sell so now they want to sell delivery services pulak!!! Malaysia memang boleh…
owh….Business under Gxx protection…now joint to deliver more shitty services. clap clap…btw, same bos la…sell roti and gula also pls ..convenience mah..
Kahkahkah… then can become like 7-11, jual barang runcit 24/7, kete pun ada. Then can change from Proton Edar to Macam2 Edar
Proton dengan pos memang DRB yg punya. Takde yang mengarut. Org beli kereta semua kena beli insurans dan signature dokumen.Kerjasama antara syarikat.Jangan sedap nak mengutuk je.Tak beli kereta pos laju mmg diperlukan. At list sambil nak hntr barang guna pos laju blh tgk showroom. So apa ada hal. Kedai sparepart pun pakai dispatch hantar barang ke bengkel.
Ye ke? Diorang hantar dokumen banyak sangat sampai kene ade kaunter Poslaju sendiri? Orang datang kirim barang ade masa nak tengok kete? Kalo macam tu, kenapa tak tukar pejabat POS ke showroom Proton sekali? Kan lagi banyak pejabat POS kalo banding ngan showroom Proton Edar.
Cuba fikirkan senario berikut:
Bini: Bang, nanti lepas keje kene kutip kerete baru, tapi tak sempat lak nak beli barang dapur. Macam mana ni bang?
Bang: Lah, kan Proton Edar ada semua. Kalo tak sempat nak kutip kete pon, boleh lah kirim ngan Poslaju.
Bini: Ah ah ah, ye bang. Betul tu. :-)
Betul, takde yg mengarut. Its only cronyism at its best. Well done.
memang dasar pengedar!!
What the f**k for?
i’m ok with this, nothing wrong.
Nothing wrong with it …. except that it is stupid. The two businesses are unrelated and will damage Proton’s image even more.
Should Maybank install their ATMs in UMW outlets just because both are owned by PNB?
Good idea! Easier to pay downpayment 10% to buy Toyota cars.
But for Proton no need lah zero deposit for full loan 9 years kah kah kah
I don’t see how they can compliment each other? What is the benifit?Jatuhkan nama proton lebih.Maybe ask the lazy salesman become part time postman kut?
imho, there is nothing wrong with it. even though these two are in one corporation (DRB), they are still two different entities with different core business. i dont believe that edar will ask personnel from Poslaju to repair the car, dont they?
“encik posmen, tolong tukar minyak hitam kereta saya.”
instead of opening new branch, it is like Poslaju only share a place in edar outlet. cut cost, give benefits to edar in term of delivery parts, documents to HQ etc.
What if Mualamat open its ATM in edar? Will you guys argue the same thing?
Hah, lagi satu idea yang bernas. Posmen boleh jadi mekanik bergerak pula. Kalo tak sempat hantar kete untuk servis, boleh lah mintak posmen uruskan.
Lah, kalo ATM tu lain cerita la ooi. Takkan nak booking kete takyah deposit. Lagi berguna daripada kaunter pos.
the point i’m trying to say here about the ATM is, there is no wrong for them to put service that they themselves own. unless they put DHL or CIMB outlet in edar, then it would be a waste. the cash flow is still within the organization. even Alam Flora are now in charge for cleaning purpose in proton property.
Takde kene-mengena lah, unless you are saying that Alam Flora is also going to open a kaunter at Proton Edar and service their customers.
UNless pos malaysia tutup branch and open it under 1 roof with EDAR..that’s logical to reduce costs and with that savings…FOC laminating driving license, motorcycle roadtax and whatever stupid2 RM1 – RM2 surcharges.
Don’t be surprised even in the same kedai also they will still charge the surcharges.
simply tak masuk akal, only in malaysia you can have this kind of ‘synergy’.
even though both companies under the DRB umbrella but each clearly serves different markets and products.
let’s see how this goes in the long run.
Is this creative or stupidity?
If Proton Edar cannot survive, please tutup pintu. Pairing up to share pain is not the solution. Might as well get Guardian or Caring to come in too.
I guess this should be expected when one person controls too much.
Later can buy rice, sugar, gardenia, padini, alam flora at proton edar too
no business sampai mahu jadi postman……kesian dia
Wtf is all this? Should they sell gardenia roti at proton edar too?
Huh!? Wonder what this will do to the already low general perception on Proton? Soon … Proton = Post Office = Snail Mail = Lousy Car? What branding strategy is this?
What next? Distribute rice and sugar at selected Proton Edar outlets? Distribute Protons at selected MPH outlets? Distribute Modenas at selected Bank Muamalat branches?
I’m sure TSM’s advisors can do better than this!
Wow! Proton sales office so free, empty nothing to sell that’s why offer hantar surat. New management, new strategy kah???
Up next, turn Proton factory as PosLaju gudang lah lots of empty space there HA HA HA
This is a wrong move. There is no connection. It will make ppl make fun of proton again. Use industries related with cars lah.
and soon we’ll be able to buy Proton cars at selected PosLaju outlets!
Interesting, like mail-order cars?
Choose what you like, buy and PosLaju will send it to your doorstep?
this is just crazy even umw are not selling their forklifts at toyota outlet
Kesian proton…. Dah nak bankrup kot…. Dah tak ada cara lain nak survive….
Proton should be concentrating on coming out with superior products to silence its critics. Dah 30 tahun dapat preferential treatment pun tak jugak deliver.
Instead, they’ve chosen to associate the brand with a legacy service from the old economy. This is pure stupidity. I doubt there’ll be substantial improvement in their bottom line from this Pos Laju tie-up, if any.
Meanwhile, the ordinary Malaysian suffers from high car prices, mainly to support the national car industry (read: Proton). You guys at Proton please lah, buat orang malu laa …
Like this they have to ensure a new Diesel engine for proton vans and pickup la
Proton always draw critic not only b’cse of his quality issue, but also the ‘weird’ (I call it stupid) act of the top management. There’re many way of improving business, synergy … bla bla bla … but why pull in Poslaju to a car dealer business !?
I never heard any innovation like such … OMG … it this another BOLEH case agn?
Did you see Mitsubishi sell aircond in their car showroom? Or they use their optical drive in their own cars … etc?
If this practice is feasible, we’ll soon see Proton cars come with BERNAS padi x n pack while stock last as promotion.
