    While having the fancy frocks as an option is always nice, I still can’t help but bring up as an existing owner, that it was a very bad move for them to dump off the Intergral Active Steering on the new 5 series when the old one had it, as it doesn’t make the car as nice anymore.

    Another thing, it seems that BMW MY seems too overconfident with their cars. Audi and Mercedes have stepped up, with BMW’s terrible aftersales and terrible warranty, many first time buyers of conti cars will swing to a CLA/C class or an A3/A4 instead of a 3 series, now that BMW is not the only one making dynamic cars.

    • BMW 2 Year Warranty on Jul 02, 2014 at 8:10 am

      BMW Malaysia should concentrate increasing their warranty from a mere 2 years to 5 years.

      BMW Malaysia is the ONLY company not just in Malaysia but the entire world to give its cars only 2 years warranty. Because Malaysia’s consumers laws are weak, BMW Malaysia takes advantage of this. All over the world they give 5 years warranty.

      All other cars in Malaysia have upped their warranty to 5 years. Even BMW’s rival Mercedes have upped their warranty to 4 years.

      Do you know why BMW only gives a mere 2 years warranty? Very simple. Just right after the 2nd year, as seen in forums and BMW groups postings, major parts will fail. Most common part is the gearbox. Be prepared to fork out about RM80,000 for a new gearbox.

      BMW Malaysia please do the honourable thing and stop cheating Malaysians.

      Don’t forget Lexus Malaysia. Their after sales service is first class. The others (especially BMW Malaysia) should learn from them about how to treat customers. Even potential buyers who come to visit showroom to view new cars are treated well by Lexus. And their newer cars (GS & IS) are pretty dynamic too.

    I guess you probably are too poor then, Encik Samad Jain. Dressing up the car can be a nice pass time for us (who can easily afford it!). Advise that you work harder so that you might maybe also appreciate all this one day…

    @Samad Jain
    Probably you are 12 years old. During our time, hey day of Proton Wira, a simple special edition sticker gives extra 2hp. Go ask you dad and go to sleep now.

    Hello?? 4 thumbs down for the comments made by Datuk R? Is the comments section a bashing site for BMW and also on the richer folks who can afford to dress up their cars? Paul Tan, tanks for the informative article. For the rest of these folks who seem to be so green with envy, posting all the negative comments, too bad for them! I agree, they all should work harder in life instead of working out their frustrations over here.

      Possibly because it was a valid question?!
      And the response was completely not relevant.
      Envy has nothing to do with it!
