2016 Hyundai Elantra teased again, showing interior

Another teaser for the upcoming 2016 Hyundai Elantra is now upon us, and this time we’ve got a look at the interior of the sixth-generation C-segment sedan ahead of its world premiere slated for the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

As we’ve seen in previous spyshots, the cabin is set to adopt a rather Sonata-like appearance, with the few differences being a three-spoke steering wheel and what looks like a high-set gearlever. It appears that Hyundai is streamlining the interior design language for its sedans – the Genesis also shares the look somewhat, but the new Tucson doesn’t.

Hyundai-Elantra-6

The exterior of the car has already been revealed through a set of official sketches – they show a sleeker, more matured design in line with Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, with slimmer head- and tail lights as well as an imposing Genesis-style six-point grille.

The next Elantra’s engine lineup will reportedly be headlined by a new 1.6 litre T-GDI turbocharged engine – said to make 175 hp – paired to Hyundai’s seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Equipped as such, fuel consumption is rumoured to hit 5.4 litres per 100 km.

I’m happy to see kimchis releasing new cars. In 2017 many dai lan ngongs who bought this will come and beg me to accept this trash for 25k just to trade in a Camry, Altis, or Vios

Malaysians already now know how Toyota has been cheating people. Until today, even RM150k Camry got no VSC and only 2 airbags.

Paultan already wrote long article how vital VSC is 3 years ago and yet UMW don’t care a damn for our lives. Global price of Camry with 10 airbags and VSC is US$22,000. Besides VSC and 10 airbags, the global Camry has about 20 other safety features that is NOT in our Camry. These features are standard and free on the global Camry.

UMW don’t care about your life. you die or vegetable, they don’t care, janji untung lebih. they take out safety features to save cost. Yet, they charge us 3x the global price of US$22k. We buy for RM180k a heavily stripped down car. Same with Altis. Same with Vios. Worse still, it is CKD and Made in Malaysia. The price is even cheaper. If US Toyota is sold at US22k and still make a profit, you can bet that UMW will get this car at country distributor price of US15k. CKD it, it will be US$12k (about RM40k).

But they sell to Malaysians for RM180k. Camry Hybrid even better. US$26k. Come to Malaysia no tax. But sold for RM175k

Again a dailangong talkok bullshit about US and Malaysia car price.

US People has Obama we have who?

US Toyota is not the cheapest, you should compare with Japan Toyota, then I ask you so what??

    • Car resale value is the direct result of supply and demand; it has nothing to do with build quality and safety equipment. So you should be grateful that there are still ignorant buyers out there whose blindly supporting a brand. Honestly, I am curious to know how you did it, selling car with minimum safety features to your customers by bragging secondary facts about the car, where deep inside you consciously knew that you are putting your dear customers that paid your salary at great risk on the road.

Partly yes. But most of all, kimchis break apart after 24 months. So, after 12 months, 1 out of 2 owners will sell them in a hurry.

Perception wise, driving a kimchi means that one is cheap skate, untrustworthy and most of all, no class

Many that dumped their kimchis have been denied promotions, ditched by their gal/spouse, looked down by colleagues and have to park far far away at family gatherings

From the photos the c pillar looks exactly the same as the current model so my guess is just a facelift..the current model look does not stand the test of time and interior dashboard so ah beng, compared to high class Altis ..i would never par Rm100k for a 1.6cc underpowered engine car

Not having VSC and Traction Control can actually save yur life, coz many tai lan ngong driving those kimci loaded wit safety features drive like F1 drivers thinking their cars are god cannot die…even if u have 10 airbags Vsc traction control Ebd Esc u will still die if u drive like mad
