BMW USA has taken a clever approach to tell its customers why they should choose authorised BMW service centres instead of independent garages. Better known locally as workshops, it’s something one can relate to, wouldn’t you say?

In the video entitled “Comparable,” it starts out by showing the audience the contrasting reception that owners receive the minute they drive in to a garage and a service centre – one gives a halt sign while the other welcomes owners with a smile.

This is followed by “mechanics that use just parts” and service centre mechanics that use genuine BMW parts. The TVC then goes on to emphasise on customer comfort, differentiating between a waiting area and customer lounges.

“You can’t compare the experience, but you can compare the costs – competitive prices for genuine parts and services,” the narrator goes on to say. Interesting way to portray a generally relatable experience. Do you guys agree with the message in the ad?
