To commemorate its 100th anniversary this year, here is a very special BMW 7 Series. Officially, its full name is the G12 BMW Individual 7 Series “The Next 100 Years,” and just 100 units of the exclusive model will be produced at the car maker’s production facility in Dingolfing, Germany.

Just three powertrain options are available for the centenary model, featuring 610 hp 6.6 litre V12-powered BMW M760 Li xDrive, the 450 hp 4.4 litre V8-powered BMW 750Li and the 326 hp 2.0 litre BMW 740Le iPerformance plug-in hybrid. Here’s a look at the full line-up being introduced.

  • BMW Individual 740Le iPerformance The Next 100 Years
  • BMW Individual 740Le xDrive iPerformance The Next 100 Years
  • BMW Individual 750Li The Next 100 Years
  • BMW Individual 750Li xDrive The Next 100 Years
  • BMW Individual M760Li xDrive Model V12 Excellence The Next 100 Years

On the outside, the BMW Individual 7 Series The Next 100 Years gets an exclusive Centennial Blue metallic paint finish and a handcrafted signet on the B-pillars. Each vehicle rides on a set of forged 20-inch BMW Individual light-alloy wheels in a V-spoke design and a silver/ferric grey bi-colour.

Inside, the exclusive model gets BMW Individual fine-grain Merino Smoke White leather upholstery on the seats, door panels, B pillars, upper and lower sections of the instrument panel, centre console, armrests and door pulls. The seats feature quilted surfaces with a woven look, hand-woven piping and contrasting seams.

Alcantara is used for the floor mats, safety belts and the BMW Individual headliner. The model also gets BMW Individual interior strips finished in piano black and BMW Individual leather steering wheel with fine-wood applications. The cover of the cup holder in the centre console is where you’ll find the specific designation of the vehicle from the 100 produced.

Despite this being a rather special 7 Series, there still are quite a few optional items left unchecked by the automaker. These include the BMW Laserlight headlamps, BMW Integral Active Steering, Ambient Light, Welcome Light Carpet, Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System and the Ambient Air Package, just to name a few.

Further optional items, as part of the rear Executive Lounge package, include a four-zone automatic air conditioning system, electrically adjustable comfort seats with massage function and Vitality Programme, Active Seat Ventilation, as well as the Executive Lounge Seating, Executive Lounge Rear Compartment Console and Rear Compartment Entertainment Experience including BMW Touch Command.

You do, however, get a very special Montblanc fountain pen with the purchase of a BMW Individual 7 Series The Next 100 Years. The pen is said to have been designed in collaboration with BMW’s design department, and is also limited to just 100 examples – one for every owner of the car.

The “Montblanc Meisterstück” comes with the surface structure of the Meisterstück Skeleton Fountain Pen, similarly designed as the the quilted seat surfaces in a woven look featured by the centennial BMW. The transparent elements of the pen come in Centennial Blue metallic and features a rhodium-plated, Au750 gold Montblanc nib.

Hmmm looking at it only the paint and the pen are exclusive. The rest of the options are available to any other 7er Individual customer.
