The hype surrounding the rejigged Top Gear continues to build as Series 23 races towards screens in the United Kingdom later this month. To tide enthusiasts’ hunger for the revamped show, the BBC has released a new extended trailer, showing more of what the first one teased last month.
Predictably, that means there’s more action, from an Aston Martin Vulcan tearing up the Yas Marina Circuit, to a Dodge Viper ACR chasing down a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with what look like paintball guns. We also get to see more of Jenson Button scaring the bejesus out of new lead host Chris Evans in a McLaren 675LT, as well as Matt LeBlanc finally eliciting a smile in his stars ‘n stripes Reliant Robin.
Elsewhere, we finally catch a glimpse of the rest of the cast, Eddie Jordan not included – Chris Harris takes the new Ferrari F12tdf sideways around Paul Ricard, while Rory Reid encounters sheep in the new, very yellow Ford Mustang. And of course, there’s Sabine Schmitz tackling Laguna Seca in an Audi R8 with Evans in tow, which made the latter lose his lunch.
Despite what seemed like a tumultuous start for the new team, it seems like everyone’s having a good time, and we can’t wait for the new season to kick off. Of course, the Beebs’ won’t have the only motoring programme around – former TG hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are also debuting a new as-yet-unnamed show on Amazon Prime this autumn.

Meanwhile, Jezza, Capt’n Slow and Richard hasn’t figured out a name for their post TG show. Or have they?
These lame videos are an outlet for BBC execs to convince themselves that they haven’t screwed themselves by firing Clarkson. Look at the general opinion all over the Internet.. no one is fired up over the new TG..
Just enjoy the show. Competition is always good for business. Talk so much also useless.
