SPIED: 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe interior

Right after the launch of the C205 C-Class Coupe here in Malaysia, we received fresh spyshots of the 2017 C213 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe. Spotted in Europe, the W213 E-Class-based coupe seen here reveals new details, including an early peek at its interior.

Surprise, surprise, it appears the two-door E-Class will debut a new set of air-con vents, which look very similar to those used on the S-Class Coupe Concept and more recently, the Concept IAA. It’s a stark design departure, adopting a futuristic look instead of the retro vents on the sedan.

This prototype is far from the finished product, of course – the E-Class sedan used on the centre screen see to that. Still, the new air-con vents do liven up the interior a fair bit, especially so when combined with the satin aluminium trim piece on this vehicle.

The rest of the car is as per what we’ve seen before, save for the fact that this is an AMG Line version of the coupe, as easily identified by the chunkier front bumper, large AMG wheels and perforated front brakes. So folks, what do you think of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe so far?

Santa conducting final tests before delivering to all good boys come Christmas. Santa not handing out Accordanas, because Proton not done with ketuk-ketuk dashboard testing until next year.

The question is whether this new E class coupe will be built on the E class chassis. The current gen is built on a C class chassis, it’s really a C class coupe dressed differently.

It looks like its built on the eClass chassis. The width of the interior looks on par with the sedans.

I own a c207 coupe which was based on the C. The width alone does show it IS a C Class just with E class bits and parts

But this looks very E class size.

UMW Holdings Bhd, which went into the red due to a loss of RM700mil from foreign exchange as well as RM337.7mil in impairment charges for its oil and gas (O&G) asset last year, is still battling the volatility of the ringgit.
This is because the group is affected by the higher cost incurred in purchasing its completely-knock-ed-down units in US dollars. Another reason is the anticipated slower sales of Toyota vehicles this year to about 80,000 units compared to 95,861 units last year, including the high-end Lexus model.

Customers will pay for them, by purchasing the grossly overpriced tin-kosongs.
