This is the Volkswagen Amarok Aventura Exclusive concept that Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is bringing to the 2017 IAA show in Frankfurt next week.
Looking striking in Turmeric Yellow Metallic, it bright truck “offers a glimpse” of a range-topping 3.0 litre TDI engine. The V6 turbodiesel delivers 258 PS of power (current top figure is 224 PS) and “increased torque”, which should mean that it has more torque than the current ceiling of 550 Nm. Permanent all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic make up the rest of the drivetrain.
Chrome can be found on the side sills, styling bar on the cargo box, front protection grille, exterior mirrors and rear bumper. The shiny bits go well with the high-gloss polished 19-inch ‘Milford’ wheels. Bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights are included.
Also on display is the roll cover system – a lockable, waterproof cargo bed cover which will be available for the first time in an aluminium design. The underbody guard also features an aluminium look. Features such as ParkPilot, reverse camera and a mechanical 100% differential lock all assist the driver in the urban jungle as well as off-road.
Inside, the Amarok Aventura Exclusive concept truck boasts black leather with Turmeric Yellow contrast stitching. The showcar is also equipped with 14-way adjustable ergoComfort seats, a three-spoke multifunction leather steering wheel with shift paddles and the Discover Media navigation system.
The new black roof liner in the Amarok will be shown for the first time in Frankfurt, completing a dark look accented by chrome bits.

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
If sell here at VGM prices, Hailux can say sayonara. Toyota can say sayonara too.
Hilux do badly, UMW suffer. UMW suffer, gomen suffers cause UMW is a GLC and PNB will pay lesser dividends for ASB
At the end of the day, john, you still lose out.
Let me help u with a little correction there:
Hilux do badly, Toyota suffer. Toyota suffer, jepunis lord suffers cause toyotalord will kena fire from nipponlord and then take it out on periperisamy.
At the end of the day, periperisamy, you still lose out.
Malaysia is a small market for Toyota la. If Toyota were to close down its operations in Malaysia, they will move all its operations to Tom Yam country. Then U see who is the looser, our government/UMW or Thailand ??!
Nobody. We wun beholden to overpriced moving deathtraps, nor beg them for low skill jobs which r done by foreign workers (that dun benefits us).
So I say its a win-win for gov, but not for toyota.
This is the same guy who says
1) Malaysia has cheapest petrol in the world
2) Gomen still subsidizes our petrol
3) cheapest car prices in the world
4) cheapest car insurance in the world
5) gomen quietly subsidizes our car insurance
6) Proton has no hutang and already paid all hutang
7) All Saga got VSC
8) Iriz hybrid is ready and can launch anytime
Again, why get angry at what u said? Be poi-sitive ;-)
trust me, the rich wont go offroad
Dr, in-order to go off-road, it must first come to M’sia. It is just a concept for now.
Looks great and should sell if priced below rm50k here in Bolehland
This is not a Tata Nano to be pricedat RM50k. This car should at least be RM150k or so here.
I have the feeling that VW has the Merc X-Class in its crosshair with this ahem, ‘concept’. The X350d will have the exact same figures (258 PS/ 550 Nm) when it arrive next year.
This came out a few years ago and was the inspiration for Mercedes to create the X-Class. Its even indicated in “What Car” magazine from the UK. This version is just a exclusive concept of an existing vehicle only.
i don’t want any bullshit auto/dsg transmission from vw… bring in the manual.. and i will buy it..
