To meet increasing after-sales demands, Honda Malaysia recently completed the phase two expansion of its parts warehouse in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam. Along with the increased storage space, the expansion also sees an improvement in warehousing operations and speeds up delivery of parts to 93 Honda dealers in Malaysia.
Completed with an investment of RM11 million, Honda Malaysia expanded the storage capacity of the warehouse to a total build up area of 21,700 square metres. The warehouse, which sits on 50,000 square metres of land and was opened in 2012, will also support the company’s future business growth.
“Honda Malaysia has recorded remarkable sales growth and service intakes in the last four years and this in turn has translated into an increasing demand for spare parts. This expansion is timely as sales of spare parts have experienced a growth of 32% while demand arising from body and paint activities rose by 48% in 2017 against the 2016 records,” said Toichi Ishiyama, managing director and CEO of Honda Malaysia.
“With this expanded warehouse, we will be able to deliver parts in a timely manner to dealers, towards providing better customer service,” he added. The expansion also encompassed an environmentally friendly practice where all packaging materials are recycled to minimise disposal and waste.

Brilliant move Honda Japan towards providing better after sales service. To another stellar year!!
i hope its not late for Honda, probably a lesson not learnt with the mistakes done by Naza Kia some 10 years ago and VGM some 5 years back. Also in the list is Peugoet and Ford.
Kia was selling very well from 2002 until 2006 with the Spectra, Citra, Naza Ria and Sorento to the extent it used to be in top 4 best car sales in Malaysia. parts problem was a hot issue and by the time NazaKia realised and made rectifications it was too late. Kia sales has dropped to about 10k units a year now.
same story with Volkswagen, a successful come back but a luke warm sales today.
Peugoet was also hit with issues on parts, even more Ford. I am hoping Honda will maintain strong, because looking at where it was in JD Power CSI survey last year (dead last), the future is not looking so bright.
In the non-national segment, Toyota tops in JD Power CSI, USP and product lineup.
good. also, please add more service center & technician. stop giving excuses not enough technician to look at customers car problem.
