G20 BMW 3 Series – M Performance parts full pricelist

BMW Malaysia has released the full catalogue and pricing for M Performance parts for the G20 BMW 3 Series. An Alpine White display car with the optional parts was displayed at the launch of the seventh-generation sports sedan last month.

The G20 already has a sporty flavour fresh from the box, especially in M Sport trim, but the M Performance options raises the temperature by a fair bit. The front is dominated by the M Performance grille in gloss black. As the borders of the kidneys are also in black, the grille appears one-piece, which may not be to all tastes. The M Sport bumper is enhanced with a carbon fibre front splitter set.

On the sedan’s profile, you’ll also find carbon fibre on the door mirror caps, along with side skirt attachments with the M Performance logo and decals. But the star piece is the set of 20-inch Y-spoke forged alloys. These Style 795 M bi-colour 8.5J rims provide some of the effect of the star-spoke items on the M4 GTS – they look great. The showcar wore 225/35 Pirelli P-Zero tyres.

At the rear, there’s a slim bootlid lip spoiler in matte black and a larger diffuser insert with more pronounced fins. The latter is in high gloss black.

For the interior, M Performance provides the option of a steering with Alcantara-lined grip areas, carbon fibre trim, a red centre marker and CF shift paddles. Interior trim can be swapped out to open-pore carbon fibre pieces, and you can round things off with M Performance floor mats. Here’s the full list of M Performance items:

Front ornamental grille in high gloss black – RM561.30
Exterior mirror cap carbon fibre – RM2,209.91 per side
Front splitter pro carbon fibre – RM2,798.08 per side

The G20 3 Series is available here in a sole 330i M Sport variant, CBU fully-imported and priced at RM328,800 on-the-road without insurance. It is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine with 258 hp (up 6 hp) and 400 Nm of torque (up 50 Nm) from 1,550 to 4,400 rpm. The latest B48 motor is mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, and it’s good for 0-100 km/h in 5.8 seconds.

Standard kit include LED headlamps, 18-inch alloys, a 10-speaker 205-watt HiFi sound system, powered sports seats with driver’s side memory, Vernasca leather upholstery, keyless entry with push start, triple-zone air con, cruise control, Aluminium Tetragon trim, black headlining and Qi wireless smartphone charging.

There’s also the BMW Digital Key feature that allows selected Samsung smartphones to be used as a key via Near Field Communication (NFC); and the range-topping BMW Live Cockpit Professional infotainment system, featuring a 10.25-inch centre screen and a 12.3-inch fully-digital instrument display.

It is insane to spend RM50k for just facade when bhp remains the same.

What nonsense is BMW trying to play with Malaysians?

This car sales very bad. Everyone also saying, might as well buy the 530e M sport. 5 series is 5 series. Bigger and better car.

In overseas the 530e is nearly double the price of the 3 series.

  • The 27k forged wheels looks like good value when compared to the laughable 4.5k side mirror caps or barely noticeable 5.5k side skirts.

“Floor mats – RM982.44”. Gold thread carbon fibre backed? Seriously, it just shows that value-for-money probably isn’t in the vocabulary of the seller (and probably some buyers) in this car’s category.

Hmmm I bought their F30 floor mats for 750 and the rear spoiler used to be 1.1k while the 20 inch rims was selling for 26k+ but it came with tyres. Crappy conversion rates or fatter margin? The only thing worth while is the front grill which is still a reasonable price.

The best thing i upgraded from bmw was the diesel performance kit. Higher hp and torque for my f30 320d m sport. Sad that they are not bringing in diesel version for the G20.

    • IIRC, there was no claimed fuel economy penalty from the power upgrade. That was one of BMW’s better upgrade kits.
