BMW has dropped the first teasers of the upcoming G06 X6 on its social media pages, shortly after leaked images of the Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) made its way onto the internet.
The short videos give us a relatively good view of the X6’s restyled front end, which features a larger kidney grille that also appears to be illuminated. Slimmer headlamps flank said grille, and they sport hexagonal corona ring daytime running light design within them, with BMW Laserlight technology also available.
Even though the lower apron is shrouded in darkness, we do get to see the outlines of large air intakes – this is something also present on the M Performance model seen in the previous leaked photos.
Things not shown in the teasers are the reshaped taillights that are slimmer and more closely resemble those on the X4. Also out of sight is the interior, although we know from prior spyshots that it will be very similar to what is presented in the X5, from the dashboard right on through the screens and switchgear.
Available powertrains will only be made known when the car is fully revealed, but the throaty engine sounds in the teasers do hint at some M Performance models being included, again also suggested by the leaked photos. We’ll only know more when BMW lifts the veils off of its newest SAC in due time.

wow. the x6 model turnaround is sure damn fast. the current gen is still new to me, released 2016 here and still rare in KL even today. the first gen E71 (2007) was in production for 7 years, current gen F16 (2015) now shorten to just 4 years. BMW is really fighting for their piece of pie in the luxury SUV market!
F16 was just a heavily facelifted E71, same goes with X5. this is a true second gen
