Perodua Myvi Interior

As promised, here are more photos of the Perodua Myvi for your viewing pleasure. These are shots of the interior, which looks alot like the original Toyota Passo/Daihatsu Boon version.

You can click the photos for a larger version.

The dashboard looks pretty standard Perodua stuff to me. There’s a glove box unlike some other car manufacturers who decided to omit such a feature from it’s latest car. I can’t wait to see shots of the dashboard at night. Supposed it’ll be something like Toyota’s Optitron displays. Those really look good. The 1.0 model’s dashboard meters are amber and the 1.3 models are white.

Here we can see what appears to be an integrated CD player interface like the Proton Gen2. Some people have fitted aftermarket CD players to the Gen2 using some form of adapter so that the hole can fit a double DIN CD player properly. Hopefully there will be such products for the Myvi too. There are two cupholders next to the gear shift lever.

I don’t really like the colour scheme of the steering wheel, what do you think?

There’s something wrong with the interior colour matching too. Usually people go for dual-tone colours, but apparently there’s three colours in this car. Some kind of cream/beige, dark grey and light grey. Not to forget silver for the CD player area.

The pedals look really cheap. But there’s electronic window control.

This doesn’t give you much details on how much boot capacity the Myvi has but I think there’s a sports bag in there with some other stuff.

Let’s check out the back seats shall we…

There’s not alot of space there at the back but this is expected of a car this size. There’s this feature with the Perodua Myvi’s car seats where it can be extended to make some sort of area where you can keep things.

Here’s how it works. Nothing that special really.

Here’s photos of the airbag deployed. Do not punch please! :P

That’s all for today. I’ll be back later with more photos for you guys :)

It looks like any other proton or perodua product, dashboard quality not soo good, hopefully no sound will be heard after few months driving, dashboard design cannot beat at least Hyundai Getz. Wait and see. Why not anybody show us the photo of comparison between say Hyundai Getz and MyVi. MYVi outside looks OK but nampak macam tertempek-tempek, terbonjol-bonjol (only Malays knows what this means).

Hi everyone! you can check out the showroom by tonite near Giant Shah Alam . I was quite impressed with the design in the brochure and hope it holds up ” in the flesh”. About the interior, yeah, i agree - hope they look better than in the pics - guess i’ll have to see it i suppose…

Y know, i emailed the perodua people about the name - i really am disappointed with the name and wish they had been more creative with it. really dislike this “tidak apa/sambil lewa “lackadaisical approach to naming. and the promo ads on tv is an embarassment to all ad creatives everywhere.

paul, your comment almost say it all of Myvi.
infact Myvi is really an outstanding achievement of local car industry. Seen the car ytday, very impressive esp in terms of design ,- saw the car on highway 3 wks ago on testing, very fast phew!! the fine detailing of the car ie. the boot holder makes easier to pull the boot down.
for 51K premium Myvi, 2 airbags with ABS, side mirror light, what else do you want ? the spec better than aveo and getz lah. inside space like getz but smaller than aveo and indeed the boot bigger…. onli one thing the audio display still a bit plastic lah… other than that it’s a very good car - much better bargain than kelisa..

Hopefully you guys will produce much better and advance for our future generation..anyhow..good JOB!!!

I’ve test drive both Myvi n savvy. all i can say myvi interior is much much better than savvy. Why do people complain so much bout the interior. its better than proton’s wat. For me its good for the price. If u want better interior get the toyota or daihatsu variant laa. I’m sure they will be much more expensive. Also i think Myvi is a good value for money, its the most (correct me on this one if u can on this) affordable car with abs n dual airbag. juz RM 51300 for auto (premium models only). to me thats a bargain! Plus it looks awesome. Very nice. Even more nice if u put on the TRD sport M body kit or Wald bodykit. hoho. Cun woo. imagine a black Myvi with gold colored v-cool, TRD sport M or Wald body kit and a 15 inch sport rim. Soo sexxy, like a mini car for mafias. hahaha.

well the booking for Myvi has reach 40K plus units and perodua plants can manage about 4K unit per month, u do the math. poor savvy, manage to cough up about 5k unit for booking. u can get a savvy in 2 weeks time if u want. haha. if u cant wait patiently for Myvi that is.
