Following on the teaser sketch of its new BT-50 pick-up truck, which is slated to make its global debut at the 2010 Australian International Motor Show in Sydney later this month, Mazda has released a peek into the upcoming vehicle’s interior.
Mazda is tagging the BT-50 as an “active lifestyle vehicle” (a truck isn’t just a truck anymore these days, it would seem), so the interior reflects that focus with a layout presentation that falls in line with the company’s current passenger car standard.
Elements include a symmetrical dashboard that wraps around the front occupants, with lots of smooth, flowing lines throughout and plenty of silver-coloured accents to help offset the two-tone grey monotony. Features include climate control, a centrally located LCD info display panel and an enhanced legibility instrument meter cluster.

Great design, styish and clean. Now waiting for the exterior to be revealed, other than the sketch.
chun! Like a sedan…
I wonder if the to be launched new Ford Ranger would look similar (internally). :)
Hilux, Triton, Ranger, D-Max, Navara… take note!!! Mazda is making a comeback in a grand way!!!
They always take note..still mazda cannot beat them
Seems promising. But Bermaz not very aggressive in promoting BT-50 where you can barely see it on the road.
It is much easier to sell Mazda-2 ma…..or Mazda 3 :) as compared to a huge Ute, especially for the ladies. :)
cool design… triton can tapao alrady with this very chun pickup..
no fuss design :)
“a truck isn’t just a truck anymore these days, it would seem” , maybe , but sure thy do DRIVE like a truck , big, bouncy and unfriendly on the roads !
bt the interiors seem to be very close to sedan/mpv styles rather than boring hard wearing styles
very car-like, doesnt look tough like what a pickup truck supposed to be…
the design is not really practical for some one who need an off road machine a.k.a working machine….this design is only for those ” show-off wanabe” group….
hard to say… the cool interior look does not mean the pickup performance is reduced..
I still hope Ford will produce smaller F150 Harley Davidson edition..,, 2.5L-3.0L,,,,
Alot of sharp edges and creases on the dashboard which would not make through production as it will be deemed dangerous to occupants.
All the pickups now on the road are due for a replacement model in 2011/12, Mazda and Ford wants to make a kill first with their new 1.6 diesel before the others are launched.
Wow, better than my Mazda 6
