Mazda has announced that the Mazda MINAGI Concept will make it into production as the new Mazda CX-5. The new name doesn’t come as a surprise really, since Mazda already has two larger SUVs called the CX-7 and the CX-9. The new CX-5 will join Mazda’s global line-up in 2012. Front styling looks like Infiniti FX.
This will probably compete in the VW Tiguan, Honda CRV, Hyundai ix35, Nissan X-Trail and the likes. The size dictates so if it is smaller than CX-7. Priced wise probably round the RM150k – RM180k mark depends on engine and options.
Looks kinda small though… maybe a Rav4 contender?
RAV4 has grown in size over the years. Over here, the RAV4 is available with a V6 engine option plus a third row seat. No longer a small SUV. Even the Dualis has a bigger version called the Dualis+2.
Got the feeling the design is no longer fresh.. kinda reminds you of other car. But good effort nonetheless..
I suppose the blue one in pix 23 could be next M6.. mmm I like!!
