Volkswagen Beetle Remix launched in Germany

There have been Black Turbo and Fender editions; now here’s another special – the Volkswagen Beetle Remix, which has been launched in Germany with a starting price of €20,250 (RM80,400).

Two petrol (105 PS and 160 PS) and two diesel engines (105 PS and 140 PS) are available. Along the side skirts is a decorative film finished in either high gloss black or silver paint featuring the word ‘Beetle’ or ‘Käfer.’

The Beetle was launched here early last month – click here for our launch report.

RM80K for a new beetle is cheap. If we get this price in Malaysia, that’s when the sun rises in north and sets in the south.

    • However: I saw more Beetles in Malaysia than in Germany.

In Germany it’s a very unpopular car, people prefer the Golf as it’s more practical and faster too (no speed-limit on the Autobahn)

If that is the price in M’sia, surely can sell well.
I will the 1st. one to book. Less than 100k acceptable.

  • Malaysia is currently selling the 1.2L version at RM139,999, and waiting list is over 6 months (some said one year). VWM doesn’t need to bring the car price to RM80k, it is already outsold what they can allocate.

  • Have had the car for a month now. Hope they will have the fender features in the future for 1.2L as its cool to have the light illuminate on the speakers
