While BMW Malaysia is still gearing up for the introduction of the BMW 1-Series here at long last, Munich is already preparing the LCI mid-life facelift for the 1-Series, which we see here on test.
If the camo-ed areas represent the areas that will be changed, then it looks like the One will be going through a minor facelift, much like the F10 5-Series LCI. The camo is placed on the exact same locations as the other 1-Series our spy photographers sighted back in August.
There’s no camo on the headlamps, which to me is the thing that needs the most change on the 1er. The arrangement of the lenses in the headlamp makes the 1-Series look awkward – if a car’s front end is supposed to represent a face, what kind of facial expression makes one’s eyes slant that way?
We’ve already seen nearly undisguised prototypes of the 2-Series (coupe version of the 1-Series) with a completely revamped front end featuring sharper and most importantly normal-looking front lights – dare we hope the 1-Series LCI will use those headlamps instead?

The previous generation 1-series was not a looker but still somehow looked better than this. This droopy-eyed front fared considerably worse against Merc A-class
Overrated.
If hollywood ever considered remaking ‘herbie’ …
At least its german n rwd , A beemer makes it a bonus..
prefer 3series.
drive one and you will forget about the looks.
Out-of-date hood bay design. It’s too long and ugly nowadays most cars have it shorter and steep.
