Direct from Beijing, our on-ground team at Auto China 2014 took notice of the BMW Vision Future Luxury concept and sent over this revealing set of live photos. Well, it would have been impossible to miss the humongous kidney grille after all. If you thought the one on the current F01/02 7 Series was big enough, you haven’t see anything yet.
Following the saying, “go big or go home,” this is a clear sign of intent that BMW is here to stay in the luxury realm. And how. The extravagant concept offers two different possibilities: is it a prelude to the next-gen G11 7 Series, or an early preview of the much-rumoured but yet-unconfirmed ultra-luxurious 9 Series?
It could go either way, really, but why don’t you tell us your opinion – should this car be a natural rival to the W222 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, or do you think its air of luxury is beyond that of Stuttgart’s finest?
You may also notice our mysterious host, the lovely Miss Red talking to BMW’s head of interior design, Oliver Heilmer in some if the pictures here. Don’t worry, we’ll unveil her soon enough :)

When I’am being tail-gated, there is a very high chance I glance to my rear view mirror, it’s either a Toyota Hilux…..or a BMW. And honestly, if I were look into the mirror and see that[main pic]. I think that super-size grill will horrify me into a mini heart attak.
Honestly, whoever thought bigger grill is better(which seems to be a trand lately) shoot him. Like I said before this is a shame, the rest of the car is absolutely Gorgeous.
Love it or hate it, the bigger grille is to make a bigger presence for the car in roads. It was the design philosophy for current 7 series if I’m not wrong…
wow, the seat is part of the B pillar?
The grille reminds me of the baleen whale. It will swallows everything into its mouth while moving. So this car will suck slow moving vehicles that hogging the road.
Hahaha.just kidding.Anyway those grilles are wayyy to big.
DAT GRILLE
Does an ‘ultra-luxurious 9 Series’ really make sense for BMW?
-BMW is the owner of Rolls-Royce Motors and
-Mercedes failed to establish it’s ‘ultra-luxurious’ Maybach.
Thing is,how much of it wil actually filter down to the production line….??
The rear seats are too cramped for my long legs..
