The interesting Honda StepWGN MPV will soon be offered in a new Modulo X version, as the carmaker has teased its arrival on its official Japanese website. Set to be launched in October for the Japanese domestic market, the StepWGN Modulo X gets various visual updates.
This includes a more aggressive-looking bodykit, a new front grille, black-painted wing mirrors, smoked headlamps and larger alloy wheels. Details are scarce for now, but expect the interior to get a few enhancements as well.
The StepWGN is an alternative to the Nissan Serena and Toyota Noah, Voxy and Esquire, featuring a flexible interior layout for some impressive practicality. The MPV also features the trademark “Waku Waku” rear tailgate/doors, which can open in two ways.
Power comes from a 1.5 litre turbocharged four-cylinder VTEC engine with 150 PS and 203 Nm, mated to a CVT, with front- and all-wheel drive options. The mill is similar to that on the Civic FC, although the sedan’s powerplant has more power – 173 PS and 220 Nm.
