BMW has decided that the F80 M3 needed another update, albeit a minor one, just a few days after it introduced the new M4 LCI (part of the facelifted 4 Series range).
As you can tell, the main change here is the updated headlamp design (like the new M4’s), which now comes with additional LED bars connecting the lights to the car’s kidney grille. In other areas, the illuminated M3 logo on the driver and passenger seat have been discreetly changed as well, according to BMW Blog.
This is technically the second update for the F80 M3, with the first being introduced in May 2015, where it received a new pair of taillights. Therefore, there are no further changes to the high-performance sedan’s styling beyond those mentioned above.
Similarly, the S55 3.0 litre twin-turbo petrol straight-six is retained, providing 431 hp to the rear wheels via a seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission. The mill can be tuned to deliver 450 hp with the optional Competition Package, which also adds on a number of cosmetic and chassis enhancements.

3.0 twin turbo putting out 431hp but A45 AMG putting out 381hp from a 2.0 turbo? its a no brainer. but the driving dynamics of a Beemer is way better i believe.
The C63S AMG chruns out “only” 510hp from 4.0. So is the M3 better? Perhaps increase in bhp vs capacity is not linear, purposely or otherwise.
the same 4 liter v8 produces 570 hp in the amg gtr.
