The Volkswagen T-Roc isn’t ready to make its global debut just yet, but it is willing to star in another video teaser, and here it is. Volkswagen says its upcoming compact SUV “boasts crisp proportions, a progressive design and a wealth of innovations,” most of which we’ve already seen thanks to an unplanned reveal.
Nonetheless, we are shown the T-Roc’s sharp headlights and taillights, the latter featuring some modern-looking graphics. The protruding liftgate also links up to thick C-pillars and raked window, which should offer a convenient aperture for loading up cargo.
Inside, the colour scheme mimics that of the exterior, and the touchscreen head unit is well integrated into the dashboard. The T-Roc will be offered with the brand’s Active Info Display, which is also found in the latest Passat and Tiguan.
Underpinning the compact SUV is the familiar Modular Transverse Matrix MQB platform, while power should come from an assortment of petrol and diesel engines. It has been suggested a 48-volt mild hybrid powertrain will be offered as well, followed by a performance-focused R variant.
