Nissan NV350 Urvan updated with new safety features

Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) has updated the Nissan NV350 Urvan in Malaysia with a number of new safety features. The 14-seat microbus is priced at RM122,000 on-the-road without insurance, and comes with a five-year/150,000 km warranty for individual and company private registrations.

The new features include a manual levelling for the headlamps as well as a rear fog lamp, in accordance with the ECE R48 regulation. There’s also a new speed limiter (ECE R89) to adhere to the speed limit regulation in Malaysia of 100 km/h for passenger vehicles with more than 12 seats. Another addition is a fuel cap with lock (ECE R34).

Beyond that, the NV350 Urvan is pretty much unchanged from before, and continues to be powered by a YD25DDTi 2.5 litre turbodiesel engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The vehicle is built following Nissan’s Zone Body Construction, and is equipped with ABS and Brake Assist.

“Nissan NV350 Urvan has been a very popular people mover due to its 14-passenger carrying ability as well as its reliability and dependability. It has supported many types of businesses and we believe that the new safety features of the Nissan NV350 Urvan can further improve our customers’ business success by carrying more passengers and with minimum down-time,” said Christopher Tan, sales and marketing director of ETCM.

  • Why are you selling NV200 only as commercial vehicle. It is popular worldwide but not available to general public here.

A van is a van. Hiace, Urvan, Alphard, Estima – they are all vans. Nothing glamorous about it. Only uneducated people think its a luxury vehicle.
