Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia has released new prices of its models without the goods and services tax (GST), joining many other companies complying with the government’s move to set the GST rate at 0% on June 1. Keep in mind that these prices do not include road tax, registration and insurance.
In the Jaguar camp, the price differences go up to as high as RM39,509.43 for the XJ L 2.0 Ti, while other sedans like the XE and XF also see a reduction in prices. As for the F-Pace SUV, the highest-spec variant is now RM28,233.96 less than before. It is interesting to note that V6- and V8-powered Jaguars were not included in the list, and could possibly be omitted from the line-up.
Moving over to Land Rover side of things, the price differences are even most substantial with the Range Rover Sport receiving the largest price reduction of RM49,528.30. The Discovery Sport will retail for RM396,226.42 from June 1 onwards, representing a RM23,773.58 reduction. Even the recently-launched Velar sees a reduction in price of up to RM33,238.30 for the two P250-powered variants currently being offered – Velar and Velar R-Dynamic.
The prices listed in these tables do not include the company’s ongoing promotion that runs from April 11 to June 30, 2018. Depending on the selected model, customers stand to receive cash rebates as much as RM100,000 and/or accessories vouchers worth up to RM6,000.
