With the in-depth comparison review of the Proton X70 out of the way, it’s time we shift our attention to Perodua’s first seven-seat SUV, the Aruz. For this shootout, we pitted the top-spec Aruz 1.5 Advance against the Honda BR-V 1.5V and Toyota Sienta 1.5V to see how they fare in the budget friendly market.
Of course, they’re not all like for like – the Aruz is a body-on-frame SUV, the BR-V is built based on a compact car, and the Sienta is practically a compact MPV. That said, all three cars feature a 1.5 litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine and are designed specifically to ferry seven, driver included.
If you’re looking to buy a family-friendly car around RM100k and below, this is the definite video review you won’t want to miss out. The next Driven episode, powered by the all-new Petronas Primax 95 with Pro-Drive, airs this Friday. Stay tuned, folks! ;)
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Why Toyota Sienta but not Toyota Rush. why2?
Rush and Aruz are basically the same car.
Yup. Why Sienta. Its not a SUV (not even fake SUV like Rush/Anuz).
The game changere, Habisla game over Exora and Ertiga!
1,000 Aruz vs 2,777 X70. Abesla Aruz!
Sienta. Any day
You made a good choice!
Here is where paultan should be concentrating reviewing on, the mass market segment. Throwing in older models to pitch up against newer models is a good thing also, since not all vehicle buyers are aware of the product life cycle. I.e. nissan / tan chong slow product cycle, they are still selling the livina for crying out loud
Definitely Toyota Sienta! Owned it for 1 year, excellent fuel consumption, comfortable suspension setup, super convenience electric sliding door and etc =)
Sienta looks unique, lower flat floor design, high roof, 3rd row seat can fold and put under 2nd row seat, and a very comfortable vehicle..
Cons, turning radius at 5.7m consider big for it size, its a CBU from Indonesia so the price increase when new SST taxes kick in last time so body parts need to import from Indonesia or Japan, and lastly hardly to find accessories in Malaysia need to go either Singapore or Thailand which has a lot more..
why need teaser? that is why malaysia automotive media is beyond the worldwide
Perodua’s first SUV is the Kembara followed by Kembara Nautica, Aruz is third.
Kembara and Nautical are the true SUV with 4WD. Aruz is just a reskinned Avanza.
Seven seat SUV. That’s the first for Perodua.
Nautica overall sales only 200 plus
We prefer the general public to forget our failed models like Kembara & Nautica. Please don’t speak of these cars who-cannot-be-named.
Exora cheaper and power
Where’s the more premium Toyota Rush?
X70 > Perodua Aruz 1.5 AV vs Honda BR-V 1.5V vs Toyota Sienta 1.5V
cant wait to see the comparison! good one paultan!!
Highest horsepower wins.
All lousy for third world countries…
Sienta is sold in first world countries like Japan and singapore. Don’t post fake news
Sienta is JDM model
