Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has announced that two of its best-selling models, the Tiguan and Passat, will be getting an additional two years free maintenance. With this promotion, both cars now come with a total of five years free maintenance (or 75,000 km, whichever comes first), as well as five years unlimited mileage warranty and five years roadside assistance.
Combined with the low interest rate of 1.88% per annum, VPCM says customers will enjoy savings of up to RM13,800 for the Tiguan and up to RM15,100 for the Passat. The promotion is valid for new car buyers from July 1 to December 31, 2019, and it’s available for all variants of the Tiguan and Passat, including the Sound & Style and JOIN Editions.
To recap, the Tiguan is powered by a 1.4 litre TSI engine that makes 150 PS and 250 Nm, and it’s paired to a six-speed wet-clutch DSG gearbox. The Passat 1.8 litre TSI meanwhile, makes 180 PS and 250 Nm of torque, whereas the most potent 2.0 litre TSI in the Passat Highline makes 220 PS and 350 Nm of torque.
Nice one VPCM! Surely a no brainer, getting the VW Tiguan which the new Audi Q3 is based on.
After discounts, one can get it for RM130k. Not much difference in price than the RM123k China car.
At least Tiguan is award winning globally with hundreds of awards. China car got no awards at all.
Yup…a great experience at SC awaits u too
Tiguan don’t have Proton ride, China value for money, Volvo premium feel, and Mercedes like top end safety features.
Only those without brains will pick Tiguan over X70. Are you one?
China car also go no DSG problems. Err,I will pick the China car with less problems thank you very much.
ello,,, VW now also made in mainland chine,,,open ur eyes then have a lot la dude!
Volkswagen Service Quality is better than Hyundai Service Quality
Yeah, correct correct
only until 75,000km … umur pendek VW ni. After that poket koyak
5 years free maintenance is good but is there a free car to use when the VW has to stay in the workshop?
ban ban tan
VW cars in Malaysia are pants. That’s the only reason why they give free service. Check second hand price before buying and prepare for poor after sales service. VW cars in Europe lasts a long time in comparison. Good luck if you get tricked. Check VW Owners’ nightmare on fb.
If second hand value is the most concern factor of you then dont buy any continental car.
The problem of VW is the mechatronic issue and those models with 7 speed dct DQ200 after 2014 had resolved though still got ad hoc cases. The terrible after sales service is because of bulk batches of owners with DQ200 facing mechatronic issue and SC unable to cope with the crowd. Now the VW after sales service is much better than before. I own VW car now.
Sales gimmick from VW where they remove the discount and put addition 2 years free maintenance. The cost of 60k km and 75k km is about RM4k. They sell end user with lesser discount by given additional 2 years free maintenance.
next drop price ok?
