Honda FCX Video

Honda FCX

Here is a video that Honda made to showcase it’s Honda FCX Concept. To keep things short, the Honda FCX is basically a 4-seater car running on an AC Synchronous Motor putting out 129 PS and 256Nm of torque available constantly throughout the rev range of the motor. This motor gets it’s power from a 100kW PEFC (proton exchange membrane fuel cell). Maximum range is 570km, which is comparable to a modern small car with relatively good fuel economy on mostly highway driving. Video after jump.

The exterior looks like as if the designers had merged the odyssey and the civic (US version)!

I wont be surprised if the exact design comes into the production version. Honda "dares" to do that. Definitely looking forward for this type of fuel-celled cars offered in the market. Keeping my fingers crossed.

first, i want to thank Paul for removing those long-long link below… this would speed up user downloading time…

now back to FCX… based on those digit its a great green car!

any figure on the cell lifespan ?

engine can last longer but what about those electric motor ?

any carbon-brush needed on those motor ?

a petrol engine could last at least 10years or 500,000Km or more… but i think not on those motor ???

    Rm10K for one ? or Rm20K ? or Rm30K ?

i personally prefers DIESEL to go green over hyrid, electric, hydrogen, hydroxene or whatsoever…. i dislike motor! we already had few, powerwindow motor(4 unit), central lock motor(4 unit), wiper motor(front & rear)…
