2013 Tokyo Auto Salon: Honda S2000 Modulo Climax

S2000 Modulo Climax-01

It has been awhile since we’ve seen the Honda S2000, the two-seat RWD roadster that Honda stopped making in 2009, so it’s rather surprising that the S2000 will appear at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon as an official exhibit by Honda.

Called the Honda S2000 Modulo Climax, it is described as a “concept model featuring cutting-edge aeroform design and a chic interior coordinated in black and burgundy.” That chrome bar across the face is the Climax’s most prominent feature, while the cozy cabin sports plenty of red accents. Always admired the S2000, still do.

The S2000 Modulo Climax will be shown at TAS alongside the CR-Z Mugen RZ and N-One concepts by Modulo and Mugen.

  • Ah nostalgia, the S2000
how I miss you and that little high-revving 2.0 VTEC
Really wish Honda would resurrect a S2000 like 2-door FR car to compete with the awesome Toyota 86.

I miss this car so much, really hope Honda bring back this model. But come to think of it, if ever re-launch, Honda Malaysia won’t sell it too here.

Not exactly the same, it has more power and far more exciting high-revving engine.

If this car is for gays than the Nissan Micra C+C is probably for people like you!
I don’t think you can call a car that is ONLY sold with a manual gearbox, FR configuration and revs to 9000 rpm NA engine a gay, that’ll be like calling a Bruce Lee a gay. and that will be utterly disrespectful

I used to love this car, with that gem of an engine (9000 rpm red line..), but there were a few things thatshould be sorted out – the wind screen is too upright, it needs some more rake and honda should fix a proper roof and make it a proper coupe- just like what BMW did when they came up with the z30 coupe and z m coupe.

Not sure if it is just me or something the Paul Tan guys need to look into? recently I am seeing most (not all) of the images attached in your website are totally out of shape! The cars look like narrow and tall cute cartoon cars… it’s pretty annoying… I am using Internet Explorer 8 and Google Chrome sometimes on Windows XP. Hope you guys could fix this.
