BMW 2-Series Coupe teased, to debut October 25

After a series of spyshots – some very revealing indeed – BMW has announced through this teaser video that the 2-Series Coupe will finally be unveiled this month, on October 25. Like the new 4-Series, the Two is a “1-Series Coupe” with a new name.

BMW has given the 2-Series Coupe a bigger design differentiation from the 1-Series Hatchback compared to the difference between the two in the previous generation. The front end has a new sharper headlamp design compared to the droopy-eyed look of the 1-Series.

Engine variants are likely to be similiar to the 1-Series, which was launched in Malaysia recently. There will be a variety of petrol and diesel engines, with the range topper expected to be an M235i Coupe producing 322 hp and 450 Nm of torque.

The 2 Coupe will be followed by a soft-top 2 Convertible later. Will BMW decide to do a true M2, since Mercedes-Benz now has the A 45 AMG and CLA 45 AMG? Check out our gallery of spyshots below for a preview of what the 2-Series will look like.

Could be a good alternative to the 4 series.

  • Hoping for it to be priced way below the 3? Hmmm I’m guessing maybe around 210k?
